Lust list: New in at Topshop

So I got an email from Topshop about all their new in stuff and decided to check it out today, and there's so much stuff I would absolutely love to get, although most of it isn't really in my price range so I'll be on the look out for cheap alternatives.

I am really really loving the colours ox blood, black and dark purples for winter, I'll be teaming them with bright whites in outfits to make it look a bit less gothic too.

Yes, so after my boyfriend got me creepers I wore them LOADS, I swear they go with everything.

Got this bandanna from a shop called Rude Not To, amazing retro clothes, wish I'd had more money to buy more stuff!

OOTD: Turtle necks, socks and sandals

Hey!

Firstly apologies for the bad pictures, I was in such a rush before going shopping with a friend.

It was rainy today, so I went for an autumn kind of look with a turtle neck and socks with sandals. I don't care how many people say it looks stupid - I do like socks with sandals and these socks are so cute and went perfectly with my outfit.

My nails were the only non neutral bit of my outfit, I'm loving nail art at the moment so having a go doing a few different looks and this has been my favourite so far!

I love summer so much, but I'm actually looking forward to autumn just so I can wear blazers, turtle necks and cute socks!

A/W '12 trends: Oversized

[L-R: Comme des Garcons, David Bowie, Vivienne Westwood, Lady Gaga]

♥ A simple way of channeling this trend is oversized jumpers, which is something I'm pretty sure everyone has in their wardrobe.

♥ Other ways are beanies, scarves and cape styled coats (I see a lot of these in TK Max, I have one from there).

♥ I love shoulder pads too, I wouldn't go as extreme as Gaga but I do love the idea.

I couldn't find many things online oversized that I love, but both from Topshop

AW 12: Trend alert - Tapestry

Hey guys,

I have been seeing tapestry everywhere at the moment and think its going to be very big come autumn. I am in love with this varsity jacket from asos which is £55 and the Dr martens which are £77 in the sale. They are both at the top of my wish list this month. I have also seen that Jeffrey Campbell have bought out some tapestry Litas. I think tapestry is going to be yet again like the neon trend that was big this summer because it is a bit garish and not everyone's cup of tea.

A/W '12 trends: Pattern

After getting the latest issue of i-D magazine, I've been completely inspired by their Autumn/Winter '12 trends section, so I'm going to do a series of posts on each trend.

♥ Leading on from the summer trend of tie dye, this trend is still bright and eye catching, but has more structure with bold lines and shapes.

♥ I think Piet Mondrian's art is a real inspiration on simple, subtle ways of showing this trend.

♥ Or think of complex honey comb prints, shown in Pradas coat design (I also love the matching makeup)

♥ I was reading Avon magazine and saw this dark green nail varnish, the perfect winter colour and also makes sure there's no distractions away from the pattern in your clothing.

The 90's Grunge Trend

Camouflage Jacket-Rokit - £26

I love camouflage. I am slowly becoming addicted too it, i already own a camouflage gilet/puffer jacket and a camouflage shirt/jacket. I have seen them everywhere, beyond retro, topman, rokit, urban outfitters and even charity shops. I got both of my peices by rummaging through my grandads wardrobe because he was a bit of a greaser back in the day ahaha. But ya search in charity shops you can get them really cheap.

Platform Lace Up's - Topshop £24

If these were men's shoes, i would wear them, but they are from TOPSHOP and only go up to a size 8 or 9 :( and i am a 11. poo. I am loving platformed soled shoes, and i am seeing you can get loads of dupes for creepers for woman at low prices but not for men. so that's not cool.

Rock on green skull hand vest - UNIF £35

I love this vest its really cool, but you can only buy them online from America:( but if anyone knows otherwise where you can get them please let me know. I have seen one once before in the Boutique section of Urban Outfitters in Oxford street, and they sometimes stock things there that they don't have online, so i will continue to search.

FIERCE, Metal Plague hat - Karl alley £44

I love these hats, but they retail at $69 which is £44 and that is a lot of money for just a hat.

But check out there website, they only have 4 different styles available but i dunno i think you may be able to have one costumed?

Dip dye rucksack - Topshop £42

Too be honest £42 is a lot of money for a rucksack that you are only going to use for probably just the summer period. So i would recommend buying a cheap leather rucksack from primark, i went in there the other day and they just got these new faux leather rucksacks in for like £8, dyeing faux leather is quite a easy process and i think dip dyeing one of the ones from primark would be great and i may do a DIY on it, so il keep you guys updated on that.

90's band tee-Rokit - £16

I am obsessed with 90's band tee's and i think they will look great this summer with denim shorts. I think i have a nirvana one somewhere-the one with the yellow cross eye smiley face. You can get them everywhere. But i would recommend to get a genuine vintage one, look at places such as charity shops, beyond retro, rokit, and the renewal section in Urban outfitters and Oxford street Topshop.

Snapback-Boy London - £30

Love this. They also do it in black and i think they have a new one in now which is black on black.

Concho belt - Unif £140

This belt is so £££ and i would never pay that for it, but its nice to just ogle at on a rainy day. I love on the symbols on it, crosses and eyes=Ultimate fashion indulgence.

Striped shorts-Motel-£15(Topshop sale)

These shorts [link] are very reminiscent of Riri's Talk that Talk album artwork. They are on sale atm but only have a xs so if that size, snap them up while you can.

3 eyed smiley t-shirt - Unif £34

I love this too, i just need to find a retailer that stocks them, rather than getting it from america because postage would cost a bomb.

Outfit suggestions for prom

Hi guys, I have probably missed the prom season, but as I am in sixth form college I have a leavers prom at the end of my 2 years of doing my A-levels and here are just some outfit suggestions on what to wear.

Outfit suggestions for men

1.Navy blue two peice suit from Next-£98(for jacket and trousers).

2.Floral bow tie from Topman-£10, i chose this because of the navy blue accents in the tie which will go with the suit.

3.Loake Black white soled brogues-£145.

Outfit suggestions for women

1.TOPSHOP-Lace peter pan dress-£48.

2.TOPSHOP-GAME high pointed court shoes, neon-£48.

Ok, I do understand that this outfit will not be to everyone's taste, but I think its so nice, and you will be wearing the trends, subtly. I love the toned down lavender pastel colour with the MASSIVE pop of colour from the neon court shoes.
